A practical guide to sustainable and productive forest management.

Finnish forests have long been managed based on clear cutting. Right now, our forest nature is doing worse than ever. It's time for a change. Continuous cultivation of the forest is the way to a more ecological and economically sustainable forestry. More than half of the private forest owners already use the method. The city of Turku has switched to continuous cultivation in all its forests. A clear guide based on thorough research gives the forest owner concrete instructions to get a good income from the forest so that it remains forested. The authors' previous work, Metsä weus ässämme (2019), was a sales success and won Tieto-Finlandia.
