The HANKI beanie is made from leftover peat wool, and is a vegan beanie that resembles wool! Peat wool is a combination of leftover peat yarn from Finnish Kultaturpee, and acrylic. The peat wool beanie is warm, yet breathable and is suitable for use all year round. The beanie has a Globe Hope metal plate on the front.

MATERIAL

This beanie is made of peat wool, which is 50% peat yarn and 50% acrylic yarn. The peat yarn we use is surplus from the Finnish Kultaturpee, which we saved after the company went out of business. Since peat yarn alone is not very strong, we combine it with new acrylic yarn for reinforcement. The metal plate on the beanie is new.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Peat wool products are made from a mixture of peat yarn. The peat yarn we use is a surplus of Finnish Golden Peat, alongside which we use another yarn to reinforce the knit.

Air your peat wool product regularly , which will also extend the washing interval. However, if the product needs washing, We recommend hand washing . Shape the product into its correct shape while it is damp , as peat yarn may change shape when washed. For example, a beanie should be stretched to its correct size while damp.
