Sense of the sea transforms the world of the Moomin into knitted stitches. Inspired not only by the iconic characters of the Moomin books, but also by Tove's artistry and lifestyle. The book contains 23 knitting patterns from 18 talented designers from around the world.
The knitting patterns are inspired by the warmth of Moominmamma's apron, Snufkin's quiet independence, and the free-flowing sea, which is strongly present in Tove's work. The knitting patterns utilize a variety of styles and techniques, from stripes to surface knits and from cables to embroidery.
The end result is a knitwear collection that exudes both comfort and a spirit of adventure – just like Moominvalley! And just as the Moomins continue to speak to new generations, these knitwear are meant to be long-lasting companions, cherished and appreciated.
