A translated version of Plupp the troll's new nature book (Plupps naturbok) into Meänkieli. The book is based on Inga Borg's beautiful illustrations of Lapland's nature, its animals and the adventures of the blue-haired troll. The Swedish Plupp the troll is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, in honor of which a children's nature book based on Borg's illustrations has been made. In addition to factual texts, it contains ideas for exploring local nature and playing in nature. Recommended age for 4-10 years old.
The book has been translated and published into Meänkieli by Jonna Palovaara. The Meänkieli version of the Plyppi troll is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
"Go to the Plypin forest and see all the seasons! See the summer night sun and count the thorns on the antlers of a moose. Learn to recognize the tracks of animals and see how animals gather food for the winter. Learn to recognize the rapids magpie that swims under the water and listen to the reindeer herd marching away."
From this book you will learn all this and much, much more! Read factual information about the nature and animals of Lapland and see cool pictures, which I am familiar with from Plypi's books. From this book you will also get tips on what to do in nature.”
